Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers can be used in a variety of ways in various parts of the face. They can be injected into the skin to help restore our skin to its former youthful appearance. This is done by injecting into areas where the skin has lost volume in order to replace lost volume and to make it look firmer.
They can also be injected to enhance the natural contouring and define certain features of the face.
Dermal fillers contain high volumes of hyaluronic acid which provide moisture and boost hydration of the skin.
What are dermal fillers and why do we use them?
As we age, our skin changes and we lose hydration as well as facial fat. The elasticity of our natural skin elasticity starts to reduce due to the decreased amounts of collagen and out skin becomes more fragile. Over time the natural volume in the face starts to reduce and in combination with more fragile skin wrinkles and folds start to form. The more mobile facial areas are the first to be affected by this natural ageing process. Skin will eventually begin to sag, and “expressive” wrinkles will start to appear, which are more difficult to smooth out.
Dermal fillers are a safe and effective procedure to help smooth out problem areas and tackle signs of skin ageing.
